CARA WOLTERS, MD:
Born and raised in Sidney, Dr. Wolters feels very fortunate to be able to offer care to the hometown that shaped her into who she is today. After graduating from Lehman Catholic High School, she thrived in the small and personal atmosphere at Ohio Northern University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She furthered her education at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine and after completing her Doctor of Medicine degree, she stayed at Wright State for her Family Medicine Residency. After over at least 12,000 clinical hours, she moved back to Sidney and worked for Wilson Health for 5 years before embarking on a journey to start Enjoy Health Direct Physician Care.
Along with her husband, Nick, a native of Maria Stein, Ohio, and a current teacher at Lehman, they have 4 children who keep them busy. She loves to cook and travel and enjoys when she can combine the two.
Did you know that the Latin root of the word doctor is “docere,” meaning “to teach?” Dr. Wolters enjoys educating her patients about their health issues and options on next steps. She is excited that DPC will allow her to do more of that along with the flexibility to be more present in her children's lives.
KRISTA KRON, RN, BSN:
Krista earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Franciscan University of Steubenville, always knowing she wanted to care for mothers and babies. After a year in Med/Surg, she spent 12 years in labor and delivery at Wilson Health before transitioning to a family medicine office at Mercer Health. Through her journey, she discovered a passion for building long-term relationships with patients and is thrilled at the opportunity to work alongside Dr. Cara Wolters.
Born and raised in New Bremen, Krista briefly lived in Alabama before realizing home is where her heart is. Though she loves the comfort of home, she’s also an avid traveler—ask her about her next adventure!
Krista met her husband, Evan, on a Christian dating site, and he happily left Kentucky to build a life with her in Ohio. While he enjoys teasing her about Ohio quirks, he has fully embraced Buckeye football. He often jokes that Krista was the best thing he found on the internet.
